App promises to tackle medicines adherence but delivery the key

A new prescription delivery service is promising to improve patient adherence to medicines as it encourages better communication between GP, patient and pharmacist, but general practice commentators issue a word of caution. Simon Maude reports

We’re really keen on pharmacies becoming more involved with the clinical team, what we’re not keen on is bamboozling patients with multiple apps – Joh, Zoom Health app, Once installed, the Zoom app provides medication reminders to patients and will alert pharmacists if a patient has not heeded that alert.
