The RNZCGP is in turmoil. The resignation of president Tim Malloy due to ill health in September appears to have triggered a chain of events resulting in the chief executive being put on “gardening leave” and the resignation of an independent board member. Added to this are allegations of a poor workplace culture, high staff turnover and bullying – all against the backdrop of a closely contested presidential election, as Cliff Taylor reports
