There have been 1719 new cases of Covid-19 reported in New Zealand over the week to Sunday, and seven further deaths attributed to the virus.
There were 107 cases in hospital; it is not known how many of those were in intensive care.
The seven-day rolling average of new cases was 246 per day.
It comes as the first phase of the inquiry into the Covid-19 response delivered 39 recommendations and called for public health capacity to be built up to keep options open for decision-makers in future pandemics.
Last week Te Whatu Ora reported 1675 cases and six further deaths.
