The following letter was posted on X (formerly Twitter) today by specialist GP Dermot Coffey. Posting the letter, sent to health minister Shane Reti and National MP Vanessa Weenink, Dr Coffey said: “His [Reti's] decision to support scrapping of smoke-free legislation calls our profession into disrepute and is incompatible with his role as a GP, or any professional association with GP bodies in Aotearoa."
