How to put on PPE
Auckland, Counties Manukau and Waitematā DHBs have released posters for GPs, describing how to put on personal protective equipment

Auckland, Counties Manukau and Waitematā DHBs today released a series of urgent messages on Medinz to update general practices and urgent care clinics to the latest COVID-19 advice.

The updated algorithm for general practice and urgent care clinics for the management of COVID-19 reflects changes announced by the Government regarding the case definition, with increased countries or areas of concern.

Clinical symptoms within the case definition have not changed.

Practices and urgent care centres across the entire Northern Region will this week each receive a one-off personal protective equipment (PPE) package to assist with managing any potential COVID-19 cases.

The packages are being provided by the Northern Region DHBs and distributed either directly to the practice or through PHOs.

This video below also outlines these procedures.

Auckland, Counties Manukau and Waitematā DHBs have also released posters to assist primary care with the correct donning and doffing of PPE, to assist practices in correctly managing their PPE supplies.
