Ngāti Hine Health Trust are the proud owners of the General Practice Service, Te Ara Tu o Ngati Hine, based at Paparata, Bay of Islands Hospital. We are seeking a passionate General Practitioner to join our team in Kawakawa, working across Te Ara Tu o Ngāti Hine Paparata and Moerewa Medical Services. This is an opportunity to be at the heart of a transformational journey—bringing together two established practices to create a seamless, whānau-centred healthcare service across the mid North.

As a GP with Ngāti Hine Health Trust, you will:
· Provide high-quality primary care services to whānau across the Mid North, with a strong focus on Māori health and holistic well-being.
· Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, delivering care both in-person and through virtual consults and services to improve accessibility for rural and remote communities.
· Engage in health promotion, outreach initiatives, and preventative care, ensuring whānau have the support they need beyond the clinic.
· Actively contribute to service development, innovation, and quality improvement, helping to shape a progressive healthcare model for the region.

· Vocationally registered GP with the New Zealand Medical Council.
· A strong advocate for Kaupapa Māori healthcare and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
· Experience working in diverse communities, committed to addressing health inequities.
· A team player who thrives in an evolving, innovative healthcare environment and is eager to contribute to transformational change.
