Te Iti me te Rahi ‘Everyone Counts’ Māori Health Workforce

Media release from Te Rau Matatini

Te Rau Matatini have developed a survey Te Iti me te Rahi ‘Everyone Counts’ Māori Health Workforce to contribute to the improvement of Māori health. The survey was launched on the 9th of July 2018 and will end on the 31st of October 2018. The survey aims to:

• build on the knowledge gained through the Te Rau Matatini Profiling the Māori Health Workforce 2017 report and;
• value all Māori who work in:
- Non-Government Organisations
- District Health Boards
- Kaupapa Māori and Mainstream, and;
- Public and Private Health services.

The survey is necessary to:
• provide a baseline for Māori health workforce
• provide the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the Māori health workforce and their needs
• and is anticipated to be conducted every three years to track the progress of Māori health workforce initiatives and government commitment.
