The Southern DHB’s Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) continues to operate in response to the boil water notice issued by the DCC for the central Dunedin area, which includes Dunedin Hospital.
“The hospital is coping well and the staff continue to do a great job in looking after our patients.
“Some elective procedures have been postponed tomorrow due to the water situation, but acute surgeries will continue as usual, along with all other clinical services,” said Southern DHB EOC Incident Controller, Sally O’Connor.
Public Health South has not seen any increase today in gastroenteritis in the Dunedin area.
Southern DHB will provide further updates if required.
