Dr Stephanie Taylor appointed as new ProCare Health Ltd board member

At the recent ProCare Health Limited (PHL) AGM, Dr Stephanie Taylor was elected to the board, effective 1 December 2017.
Dr Taylor replaces Dr Jonathan Fox, who retires at the end of November after nine years of serving on the PHL board.
PHL chair Dr Harley Aish was re-elected to the board, and will continue to serve as chair. Dr Aish says he is delighted to be in a position to continue to serve the ProCare population as chair of the PHL board and welcomes Dr Taylor to the fold.
Dr Taylor is a GP and partner at St Heliers Medical where she has practiced since 2004, previously working in general practice in Wellington and South Auckland.
Acknowledging general practice is set to experience change over the coming years, Dr Taylor is ready for the challenge.
“There is little doubt that primary care will see quite significant change over the coming years as we face workforce challenges, the role of technology within general practice and changes to the way our patients want to access their health services.
“I am delighted to have an opportunity to play a role in helping to shape the future of both ProCare and primary care in Auckland.”
In addition to her role on the ProCare board Dr Taylor is an examiner for the RNZCGP, having previously been part of their Education Advisory Group.
