From 5pm tomorrow Friday, 4 June until Tuesday, 8 June eight urgent care clinics are offering free urgent care to the following people in the Counties Manukau Health area:

  • Children under 14
  • People over 65
  • Community services card holders
  • High user health card holders; and People living in a quintile five area.

The consultation fee waiver applies to urgent care only e.g. things which need to be seen immediately if you aren’t able to see your local doctor.

The fee waiver includes presentations for medical consultations and ACC co-payments however, fees outside the consultation can still be charged by the clinics.

For routine care such as the treatment of long term conditions, repeat prescriptions and Doctor’s Certificates please contact your usual GP.

We encourage our community to make use of this service. In doing so you will receive the care you need as quickly as possible and also help to keep our hospital Emergency Department free to deal with emergencies.
