In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, employees from a range of organisations are changing the way they work in order to practice physical distancing where possible.

The Canterbury & West Coast DHBs’ TransAlpine communications team now has staff working from various locations.

Due to the large volume of media enquiries and communications and emergency response requests we are receiving for both DHBs, we are not always available to answer the phone and will be slower to clear voicemail.

To make it easier for us to action your request, from tomorrow (Tuesday 24 March) media are asked to email all requests for both DHBs to communications@cdhb.health.nz, rather than calling.

The Canterbury & West Coast DHBs’ communications team will continue to be available via this email address from 8:30am to 5pm weekdays. Details for urgent queries over the weekend can be found on the media page of our website: https://www.cdhb.health.nz/media-enquiries-2/.

Note, over the weekend only urgent requests will be actioned. Please email your request and text the on-call advisor.

The latest COVID-19 information is available at: www.covid19.govt.nz.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
