Kate Stark is a nurse practitioner working in a busy rural practice in Roxburgh, Central Otago. Originally from Dunedin, Ms Stark lives in West Otago on a sheep/beef/cropping farm but spends her working days in Roxburgh before returning to the farm. She has a passion for rural nursing and has been very involved in the promotion and successful implementation of the NP role in rural primary healthcare. She is also on the national PRIME committee and understands the inequities that rural communities face in relation to healthcare
