France-trained GP Thomas Cartier is the sole doctor at Te Whare Hauora o Ngāruahine in Manaia. The clinic opened for business last October, and Dr Cartier is the first doctor the small South Taranaki town has had in almost 30 years. Iwi provider Ngāruahine Iwi Health Services led the project
