It’s a 1200-strong showing of delegates, speakers and exhibitors at this year’s South GPCME getting underway in Christchurch tomorrow. Health minister Shane Reti will speak to the conference in Friday’s pre-lunch plenary session, tasked with addressing two major questions – what will he do to tackle severe personal workplace stress in general practice, and what can be done to retain the extant GP workforce. The floor will be open for questions and former health minister Sir Bill English will be moderating the discussion.
