Covid-19 update: 4018 new cases, 23 deaths attributed to virus

There have been 4018 new cases of Covid-19 reported in New Zealand over the past week, and 23 further deaths attributed to the virus.
Of the new cases, 1895 were reinfections.
At midnight on Monday 23 October, 193 cases were in hospital and four in intensive care.
The seven-day rolling average of new cases was 574 per day, up from 544 last week.
Last week, Te Whatu Ora reported 3816 new cases and 17 further deaths.
