Covid-19 update: 2618 new cases, 8 further deaths

There have been 2618 new cases of Covid-19 reported in the past week, and eight further deaths attributed to the virus.
Canterbury had the highest number of reported active cases with 434, followed by Waitematā (263) and Counties Manukau (217).
There were 152 cases in hospital as of midnight on Sunday, the Ministry of Health said.
Of the new cases, 1634 were reinfections.
The seven-day rolling average of new cases was 374.
The ministry reported 3385 new cases of Covid-19 for the previous week, and 13 further deaths attributed to the virus.
