I was just talking about this part of the world today. Funny how small NZ is. I’m from Marlborough, lived in Canvastown, just up the road from Havelock. When I was a kid, my GP was the local havelock GP. He was an amazing German man. Roz Freeth, who was mentioned in this story, was my 3rd form home room teacher and science teacher at Marlborough girls. If life permitted, I would move back there in a flash. I have slightly rose-tinted views of that part of the world- so in my unbiased opinion, it’s the best place in NZ.
