It would be interesting to do similar research in Primary Care, as I suspect you might find that many of the pressures are even worse in General Practice, where there is no cover available and many people are contractors - so if you take time off there is no 'paid' sick leave or annual leave and no 'paid' maternity leave. And salaries are usually much less than a DHB Dr to begin with.....
